New protocols for travelling through Abu Dhabi International Airport
Dear Passenger,
Thank you for choosing to travel through Abu Dhabi International Airport.
The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis And Disaster Committee for the COVID-19 Pandemic have outlined quarantine guidelines for international arrivals to the emirate of Abu Dhabi. If you are travelling on to other Emirates beyond Abu Dhabi, the below quarantine restrictions do not apply.
Ahead of travelling through our airport, please ensure that you have made yourself familiar with what your airline and medical authorities require to make sure your trip is possible.
Before returning into the UAE, you will need to obtain a negative PCR test, issued not more than 96 hours prior to the time of your departure flight to the UAE. While in Abu Dhabi International Airport, you will need to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), consisting of a face-mask and disposable hand gloves. You will also need to adhere to social distancing measures throughout our facilities.
Upon landing in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, you will need to take a second PCR test at Abu Dhabi International Airport. If you are flying from a ‘green’ country, you will have to self-isolate until you receive a negative PCR test result. For a list of nations on the ‘green’ list, please click here.
If you are flying from another nation, you will have to self-isolate for 10 days. Health authorities will evaluate the most appropriate location for your quarantine. This may be your home, a hotel, or accommodation provided by medical authorities. You will be provided with an electronic wristband, which you will need to wear throughout self-isolation, and will be removed at the end of your self-isolation period.
In addition, ensure you have downloaded the AL HOSN application on your smart device, which is available through the App Store for iOS devices (iPhones) or the Google Play Store for Android devices.
Please ensure that you are familiar and have complied with all requisite protocols to ensure that your trip through Abu Dhabi International Airport is smooth and convenient.

Travelers bear full responsibility for ensuring they comply with the requirements for their travel and neither the airport nor airline can be held responsible for any issues associated with non-compliance.
