Passport Control

Make sure your documents are in order for when you go through Passport Control.

Please ensure that your passport is valid for the duration of your trip. Some countries will only allow you entry if your passport is valid for six months or more.   Also note that visa, transit and entry requirements differ from country to country and can be changed with little or no notice. We strongly recommend that you contact the embassy or consulate of each country you will be visiting to obtain the most up to date information.

eGates are in operation 24 hours a day at Abu Dhabi International Airport. UAE citizens or expatriates holding UAE residence visas are eligible to apply for eGate cards, which enable you to pass through passport control without having to wait in a queue to have your passport stamped. By simply swiping your card and touching the panel to match your fingerprint, you pass through one of the eGates in seconds, saving you valuable time.

Passengers in wheelchairs or those with reduced mobility will find dedicated eGates for their convenience.
