SUBJECT: New protocols for entering Abu Dhabi

Dear Passenger,

Thank you for choosing to travel through Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis And Disaster Committee for the COVID-19 Pandemic have outlined new quarantine guidelines for international arrivals entering the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Ahead of travelling into Abu Dhabi International Airport, please ensure you are familiar with the below steps that you will need to follow:

  • On your arrival into Abu Dhabi, medical authorities will conduct a PCR test, after you have disembarked from your flight.
  • Following the PCR test, you will then need to register under the quarantine system. You will be provided with an electronic wristband, which you will need to wear throughout the two-week quarantine period.
  • The health authorities will evaluate the most appropriate location for your quarantine. This may be your home, a hotel, or accommodation provided by medical authorities.
  • 12 days after your arrival into Abu Dhabi, you will need to conduct a second PCR test.
  • Should you receive a negative result, 14 days after your arrival into Abu Dhabi, the electronic wristband will be removed by medical authorities, and you can finish your quarantine period.

These measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of all living in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. We urge you to closely adhere to these procedures. Violating them will result in penalties and fines issued by the government of Abu Dhabi.

You will need to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout your time at Abu Dhabi International Airport, consisting of a face-mask and disposable hand gloves. You will also need to adhere to social distancing measures throughout our facilities.

In addition, ensure you have downloaded the AL HOSN application on your smart device, which is available through the App Store for iOS devices (iPhones) or the Google Play Store for Android devices.

Please ensure that you are familiar and have complied with all requisite protocols to ensure that your trip through Abu Dhabi International Airport is smooth and convenient.
