Abu Dhabi Airports welcomed the new eased travel measures at Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) where PCR test service upon arrival is now optional for travelers coming to the emirate. The PCR Test facility at AUH remains available in the same location as an optional service at AED 40 for passengers who would like to activate their green pass on Al Hosn App, which is mandatory to enter public places, tourist attractions, and other facilities in Abu Dhabi.

The General Civil Aviation Authority, GCAA, has affirmed that the decision to suspend all inbound and outbound passenger flights and the transit of airline passengers in the UAE is still in effect as part of the precautionary measures taken to curb the spread of the COVID-19.

In a statement today, the GCAA said only passenger flights carrying UAE residents and visitors wishing to return back to their respective home countries have been temporarily allowed after ensuring all relevant precautionary measures required by the Ministry of Health and Prevention have been taken.

The UAE has decided to renew, from today and for a renewable period of two weeks, the suspension of entry of all foreign nationals holding valid UAE residence visa, in a bid to contain the spread the COVID-19 pandemic and to ensure their safety.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has requested those holding valid UAE visas, and now staying abroad, to register in the 'Tawajudi for Residents" Service which has been recently launched through MoFAIC’s website to facilitate their safe return to the UAE in emergency situations.
