Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 20 June 2009: Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) announced that the construction of the Investor Services Centre at the Abu Dhabi Airport Logistics Park has been completed, and that the centre is expected to be launched in the immediate future.
The Investor Services Centre will act as a One-Stop-Shop solution for international investors wishing to establish their operations in the new business environment, adjacent to Abu Dhabi International Airport. It will allow foreign-owned businesses a smooth entrance to the UAE market by streamlining the processes and drastically increase the speed of setting up operations in the UAE.
This innovative approach will alleviate avoid the need for investors to visit a range of different government entities for their documentation and paperwork, and will provide an easy and convenient set up process. The centre will enable a unified interface for all business services including assistance with business registration, sponsorship, licensing and leasing.
ADAC has worked closely with all government bodies to ensure this smooth and fast process for the establishment of new businesses. Government entities such as the Department of Economic Development, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce, Ministry of Labour, Immigration Department and Abu Dhabi Customs, have all collaborated with ADAC to ensure the centre accommodates all of the necessary services at one central point, in close proximity to the park.
In this regard, H.E Khalifa Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Chairman of ADAC, stated: "ADAC has already seen great interest in its facilities from international businesses such as Thales, which is a clear indication of the significant strategic advantage offered by the Abu Dhabi Airport Logistics Park. It will provide the quality and convenience that investors look for to achieve their goals and business objectives."
Over the past six months, ADAC has received business delegations from international centres of aviation, including Bavaria and Italy, interested in setting up businesses in Abu Dhabi. Recently ADAC welcomed a French delegation to Abu Dhabi, and has been talking to international aerospace and aviation organizations this week at the Paris Air Show.
Al Mazrouei continued: "With the new Investor Services Centre and our close cooperation with all government entities, we will make the initial set-up process easier and faster than ever before.
"Abu Dhabi has all the ingredients for a healthy business environment, such as our accessible location, our natural resources, availability of skilled workforce, political stability, strong leadership, and the cultural and social environment to provide work-life balance to our national and international residents.
"The Abu Dhabi Airport Logistics Park is an intrinsic part of our wider strategy for developing ADAC's assets to facilitate and drive the emirate's future success and play a significant role in Abu Dhabi's Plan 2030."
The Department of Economic Development, which holds responsibility for regulating and providing business licenses in Abu Dhabi, recently signed an agreement with ADAC to foster closer cooperation and streamline systems and data sharing, which will also greatly increase the speed of licenses being issued. Similarly, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce has installed its integrated system at ADAC's premises to ensure an immediate manifesting and processing of requests.
The Investor Services Centre is located on site within the Abu Dhabi Airport Logistics Park near the Al Ghazal Golf Club. It will feature a scale model of the park showing the many facilities and world class amenities, and other projects under development in the vicinity of the airport.

Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) is a public joint-stock company wholly owned by the Abu Dhabi Government. It was incorporated by Amiri Decree number 5, issued on 4th March 2006, to spearhead the development of the Emirate's aviation infrastructure.
In September 2006 ADAC took over responsibility for the operation and management of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain international Airports. In 2008, ADAC added Al Bateen private jet airport, formerly Al Bateen military airbase, and Sir Baniyas Island Airport to its portfolio. As part of this redevelopment, a second runway and a third terminal have been completed. A new ATC tower and the Midfield Terminal Complex will complete the redevelopment within the next few years.
